Almost every pro golfer and even most that play sports as a hobby have fitness worked into their training. The idea of the working out is to help the body to do exactly as they need it to when it comes time to play in competition. The good golf swing is just as demanding as a long pass or a long drive, yet many unskilled golfers don’t exercise or train for their golf swing expertise.

Also I have chosen 3 shots I’m sure of hitting. Having made up my mind prior to this helps me relax much more and concentrate on each shot. I don’t feel anxious or uncertain about the next shot. If one of my shots doesn’t work out I’ll handle that as it comes, but thinking prior to the shot really helps. A par four might be a driver, 9 wood and 7 iron with a putt for birdie or at the minimum three putts to a par.
In conclusion, thinking about your round, or the next shot might really help you lower the score. A little forethought will help you assess you skill level and help you not make those shots that you are incapable of. Playing to your strengths| is not coping out, but it is realizing your own abilities, and it might actually assist you reduce your golf scores.
