Damage to the tiny hairs found in the inner ear can cause tinnitus. When contact is made with sound waves, movement will pulse through the hairs. Such motion triggers the cells in the ear to send a signal through the auditory nerve, which the brain perceives as sound.
Damage to these hairs means electrical impulses are sent to the brain, which is the cause for tinnitus. Aging can cause impaired hearing. Otosclerosis can cause changes in the ear bones. • An extreme quantity of built-up ear wax. Injuring neck or head A common inner ear disorder is Meniere’s disease.

In pulsatile tinnitus, your ears hear sounds that are synchronized with your heartbeat. These sounds occur either intermittently or continuously.
The reasons for the pulsatile tinnitus is given below: • Increase of blood pressure due to hypertension, stress, caffeine etc. • Atherosclerosis is due to advancement in age or build-up of cholesterol. Growths on the head or neck. Deformed capillaries forming between arteries and veins. There are conditions that can cause an unstable blood flow. Tinnitus can also result from exposure to loud sounds and from ongoing health problems. If you are exposed to any type of loud noise on a regular basis then this can damage your ears. This is the reason for which ear plugs are used if you work around machines or spend long time in listening to loud music. While you can have temporary problems due to short-term exposure, if the exposure takes place over a longer period it can cause more serious and permanent damage.
Risk of getting Tinnitus could be reduced by taking care of health. Eat healthy, stay away from loud noises, exercise on a regular basis and protect your hearing at all times.
