Staying a week in an Akumal villa is a must! My friends and I yearned to spend our spring break at the beach. One of my friends suggested us his Akumal villa to lodge since we haven’t found a hotel to accommodate ourselves in Tulum, which was our first option.

We didn’t had knowledge of what Akumal was, not even where was it, but we all agreed on renting his villa in Akumal and made plans to met there, since half of the group came from Venezuela and half from Mexico.

When I got Akumal I couldn’t think to be true where I was, it was somewhat a fisherman’s small rural town, combined with european-like province with a touch of Hawaiian/Caribbean atmosphere.

We saw no huge hotels, nor mad spring breakers; the little town was filled with locals and friendly large tourist families. We loved the place since the second we got there!

We headed towards Akumal Villa’s zone, and we were seriously astounded by the excellent houses that we saw, but it wasn’t till we arrived to our house that we genuinely started drooling.

The vacation was our unexcelled favorite; since we had all types of adventures and practiced every water sport type. The night life offered special and amusing activities; from Playa del Carmen‘s exotic night clubbing to ocean shore starry and sandy Akumal friendly bar.
