I went and stayed with my cousin in Chicago last weekend and had a nice little time over there. He and his wife have been in the city for the past three or four years, and they tell me they’ll be happy to live there for the rest of their lives. You can find nearly anything you want to look for there in the city, and most of the time easily within walking distance!
The three of us went out on Navy Pier the first night I was in town and enjoyed a nice little boat ride, and also took a ride on on the ferris wheel, which gives you a incredibly awesome view of the city in the afternoon. But afterward we figured on a round of miniature golf and about halfway through I threw out my back. Now you know this sort of problem has been coming on every so often since my late forties, and most of the time a solid application of therapeutic massage will mostly get me back in shape within only an hour. The problem, of course, was that my massage therapist was not in Chicago along with me, so I had to take a chance on a masseuse that I didn’t know or necessarily trust.
Very fortunately for me, like I said before, you can find anything you’re looking for in the city. I did a quick internet search for “massage in Chicago” and within just a couple minutes of scanning through the Chicago massage therapist reviews I had an appointment with a highly lauded masseuse only a couple miles away. Thank goodness. Pretty soon I was done and I had a great experience and got my poor back muscles all right as rain!
It turns out that the massage clinic I went to was run by the same people who manage the Chicago weight loss center that my cousin’s wife has been getting help from for the last two weeks. I’m not exaggerating when I say that she is looking the best I’ve ever seen her. So anyway, that was about what I did in the big city. I was only there for Friday night through Sunday morning and half of it got taken up worrying about my back, but I still had a pretty good experience on the whole and am anticipating spending a little more time on my next visit. I think I’ll pass on the putt-putt, however.
