I participated in Darren’s Social Media Love-in a couple weeks ago at Problogger and the results have been great.  Traffic is up across all my blogs by a small percentage, but quality traffic is up a lot.  I’ve been getting feedback in the form of emails, IMs, etc. Here are some numbers from the networks:

Twitter: 293 followers (up from mid-20s)

Facebook:136 friends (up from 5 or 6)

Myspace: 82 friends (up from 15)

LinkedIn: 91 contacts (up from 6)

Doostang: 24 contacts and I’m now qualified for the “Elite Network” (Doostang is a career oriented network, so even though this one makes very little difference to my blogging/websites, it’s potentially more lucrative than the rest combined.)

In “non-number” results, I have a screenwriter, a book editor and a couple of other contacts that I expect I’ll be able to make good use of for at least picking the brain, referrals, etc.
